Poly Culture North America Launches Flagship Art Gallery

Yesterday marked an important milestone in the cultural exchange and interaction between BC and China.  Poly Culture Group celebrated its official opening of its North American headquarters in Vancouver with the grand opening of the Poly Art Gallery at 905 W. Pender Street in Vancouver.  The commemorative installation displayed is valued at over USD $60 million and includes four bronze-cast animal heads from China’s famed Old Summer Palace.  The installation also included many jade artifacts displaying exquisite craftsmanship of the Qianlong Period.  We are excited to see much more jade displayed at the Poly Art Gallery in the future.

The night ended with a performance by the China Philharmonic Orchestra at the UBC Chan Centre.  This musical group has over 1,000 performances including at The Vatican in front of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI.  We were honored to be a sponsor of such a meaningful event and congratulate Poly Culture North America and HQ Vancouver for a successful evening.

On Monday night, Chinese women’s national team played the first round of the Canada-China Women’s Ice-Hockey Tournament, against UBC T-birds at the Thunderbirds Stadium. Green Mountain is very proud to be presenting sponsor for the entire Tournament Event. This was a great event to increase cultural interaction between the countries. Former owner of the Vancouver Canucks, Arthur Griffiths and star players Glenn Anderson and Cliff Ronning attended the game to show their support.  The event organiser, CCSF and Griffiths Hockey Club will donate the entire proceeds from the event to the CCSF Autism Foundation.
